Qorvia – QR Inspector

What a scan involves

Qorvia decodes QR codes on your device. Whatever a code contains — a web address, plain text, contact details or Wi‑Fi credentials — is read locally and shown to you before anything is opened. The app never opens a decoded address on its own.

Camera and photos

Camera access is requested only when you choose to scan with the camera, and the frames are used solely to look for a code. Nothing is recorded. When you pick an existing image instead, the system photo picker hands Qorvia only the item you selected; the rest of your library stays out of reach. Selected images are not uploaded anywhere.

The one request that leaves the device

When a decoded code turns out to be a web address, Qorvia can send a HEAD request to it to find out where the address finally lands, so a redirect cannot hide the destination from you. That request carries what any ordinary web request carries, including your IP address, and the destination server and your network provider can see it. No other traffic leaves the app.

What stays on the phone

Inspection results and their risk verdicts are kept in local storage so the History tab still has them after a relaunch. Clearing history in Settings deletes them, and removing the app deletes them with it. Qorvia has no accounts, no cloud copy of your history, no advertising and no analytics.

Children

Qorvia is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly gather personal information from them. Write to us if you believe a child has sent us something.

Changes and contact

This policy will be revised if the way the app handles data changes, and the effective date above marks the current version. Questions about privacy, deletion or your rights under applicable law go to [email protected].
